Taiwan and China have both good and shit parts in their cities. I’m not impressed by Taipei, especially Old Taipei, the only firstie looking parts is the immediate surrounding area around Taipei 101 to me at least. The rest has the same standard as Hongkong, but their nature and waterfalls are beautiful and I love the old railways and traditional homes built on the side of hills. Guangzhou is around the same level of cleanliness to Taipei at least to me.

The newer but smaller tier cities of China unironically look firstie to me, much cleaner and newer than my country. I wish we can try to appreciate each other more, we all came from the same roots and China has a slow start.

I saw people waste in the streets and they have come far, I have not seen people shit on streets or smog in the air nowadays, my country’s tap water is drinkable thank you very much.
