what’s stopping you or me from buying a boat and just sailing around the world, internationally speaking?

for me its buying a yacht and making out with all the south north east west mediterrenean women

With all my luck, id probably sink before being out in the open

yachts fit for international sailing are kinda expensive and you need a license usually. my uncle has a 7 meter sail yacht and it's basically a part time job just to maintain and keep it seaworthy

thats fine for your local stream but if you wanna sail to other countries without their police/navies looking at you funny you need a licensed boat and to register your voyage

The coast guards and navies of foreign countries. Also, pirates. There's lots of pirates around maritime choke points.

cost, laws, safety, lack of knowledge, pirates, etc.
