Very long. I make a regular stop in a small town most mornings. A railroad track bisects the town between the side that accesses the highway and the building I have to visit. A scenario has played out a number of times where I have had to sit idling on the road for 15+ minutes waiting for the train to roll through.

Fairly punctual and very fast, the undisputed best method of long range transportation and not that expensive when compared to other alternatives.

Until the 80s there were true works of art in Chile, such as the Breda Marelli 32, known in the Chilean railway world as "Sophia Loren" because of its great beauty and Italian origin.

In June 1965, the advertising director of Paramount Pictures gave the Italian actress in Rome a photograph showing a group of Chilean railway workers next to one of the locomotives with a sign with her name on it. As tnks you, Loren sent the general manager of the Chilean Railway Company a series of autographed photographs in which she appeared showing the image in question

Overcrowded. In ten years time we will have gone full Indian, and will be riding on the roof.

We are completing our East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) linking north east peninsular Malaysia to Port Klang on the West coast. The north east terminus might be linked to Thailand. Effectively, this creates a land route from China to the Malacca Strait, bypassing Singapore. Ships can also unload in Kuantan on the east coast and transfer goods to the west coast by rail. Until recently, we have downplayed the cargo capacity, only harping on the passenger trains. I'm sure Singapore is scrambling now for sleeping on this. They might fund some unrest in Southern Thailand again like they did in the 90s.

Trains themselves are actually quite good and modern, but the problem is extremely outdated railway which results in slow rides and constantly late trains. Railway has been operating in the negative for nearly 30 years as no one rides the train anymore. But in a way that makes it comfy if you don't care about being late, it's comfy being alone or nearly alone on an empty train

They re nice. We ride some Stadlers and Škodas. Most of the railroad is getting electrified now + speed increased to 160 kmh. Idk what they will do with diese lpassenger trains after it is done.

I actually like this version with the yellow door, it is the best so far. The one where the door is light-blue is worse and the IC coach design is pretty bad too (also looks strangely close to the prison transport vehicle if you google it)
The old MÁV logo was also much nicer than this new MÁV Group thing

lol

Gotta agree with you on the logo. It's progressively getting worse

This yellow version of START was the best imo. This new "MÁV - A MÁV csoport tagja" does not even make sense
