Why did Hitler ally with italians?

Italy was the birthplace of fascism and Hitler had to give some lip service to that. Also, Italy had Med and African holdings that are useful to Germany. And of course, more cannon fodder.

I was asking about genetics but anyway the real reason is Italy was the real cause Germany surrendered in ww1 ( not jewish stab in the back shit). After the Ah collapse italy forced an armistice on them that granted the use of austrian railways to carry italian army to the german southern eastern border. Germany was in no position to afford another front so they immediately signed for peace.
