I actually felt bad for this guy. He traveled there not trying to be one of those Youtubers who wanted to simply bitch about how India is a poor, dirty Third World country but actually wanted to experience the culture and interact with the locals. Holy fuck did the Indians treat him like dirt despite the guy being richer than 98% of them. From the top of my head of what I remember:
-Immediately every time he enters a room or area, literally all the Indians either avoid, ignore or outright shun despite making it clear he's a tourist that wants to spend his money
-Literally almost his interactions with people serving him were trying to screw him over. A guy serving him a drink charged him way over the price over locals and he only noticed it because the Indian did in front of his face and admitted he charged more.
-Another encounter where he booked a hotel online and already paid for it via CC and immediately the hotel Indian workers told him they were full and despite already paying for it, the guy had to manually ask for a refund and contact his CC provider to cancel the charge himself. This happens three times in the entire video.
-He enters a restaurant and the Indians guys he talking to immediately said some racist slurs to him and apparently was commenting in their language talk behind his back
Hell, even the taxi drivers were driving passed him despite the fact that he actively looking for a ride.

I'm racist as hell but even I don't believe treating tourist like this is justified. If your people treat foreign tourists in this fashion that just gives foreigners the excuse to treat you in the same fashion when you tour their homeland.

But under the lens of racism it is though. More so considering foreign students and tourists from allover the world face this constantly. The idea that in all the shitty things one can do, treating tourists badly is "too far" is pretty silly.

I used to work at hotels in Mississauga and in parts of Ontario. We didn't charge tourists more just because they were tourists. We had our price upfront for everyone to see on our websites and signs just to make it clear that we charge people the same because we wanted repeat visitors. Tourists making reviews of how they charge foreigners more is really bad business.

They actually do. Tourist review hotels. You do realize that, right? And people can see in Google maps and other sites when hotels are screwing tourists over. This is terrible reputation to have and it convinces people to avoid not just your hotel, but the area altogether. Hell, I bet those Indian suck for tourists videos did a number on Indian tourism. Why would we want that for Canada?

Again, in the hotels I have worked in Ontario, literally none charge more for tourists or cancelled their room because they found their client is Black or foreigner. It's absurd that you think that's normal because you can be sued for that here in Canada.

In Ontario, a hotel declining service to a foreign tourist would violate the Ontario Human Rights Code. I've seen hotel lose cases because they were actively denying service to Chinese and Indians, which is against the law.
