I would love to live in Tokyo for a while. What's life like there?

Nothing is so different from Seoul, except that transportation, taxi fares, and rice prices are higher in Tokyo, based on my experience.

Huh. Isn't Tokyo way bigger? But I guess you don't really feel it when you're in the city, it just registers as big busy city in your brain. Do you like Seoul

Wasn't Seoul poor districts really dirty and south-american tier, compared to Japan's poor, but clean districts?

Many people in Seoul have never even had the experience of wandering around that area of Seoul in their lifetime.

I don't even care about anime, Tokyo is just across the planet from here and it's gigantic. I know very little about Japanese culture except that they like shit clean and things run on time and respect is very important or whatever. Honestly I don't really give a fuck about that but Tokyo fascinates me... oh to have a little apartment above a sushi place... ride my bike to the train station... busy subway... eat a hurried lunch outside watching the buses whiz by... at night the city all glinting and sparkling as you stumble home drunk on sake... it'd be nice!

Japan is pretty clean but it’s overstated just how clean it is. There are poor and filthy areas, same as anywhere else.

It sounds kino until you’ve been in your shoebox sized apartment for four months with basically zero social interaction and tou’re starting to go stir crazy in a place where nobody even understands you or cares about you and you can’t understand them

I might just get used to it. I don't really talk to that many people anyway and I mostly keep in touch with the ones I do talk to sporadically online. I'd pick up some Japanese. Would be cool to read haiku and whatnot. Eat ramen. Go on a walk and listen to music. Smile at a cute Japanese girl, she smiles back, how wonderful

You're talking to a delusional incel who is already doing all of those things, with the help of their mom and while living in a country where they can speak the language.
The real kicker is when they realize Japan doesn't come with subtitles and that the isekai transformation they all fantasize about doesn't become real, and instead they get shunned or treated as an outsider because they can't understand the language let alone the cultural norms. That's when the fun starts.

Nigga you making us look bad, if you would love to live there you should likely have an idea what it's all about.
But personally I would say it's great right until 23:00 when the roving gunpla gangs come out. It's best you retreat to your nearest geofront at that point.

Being a tourist is fine. But living there is pain. You might be happy though, if you enjoy slave jobs.
Anonymous Germany No.214229755 >>214229930
Spent half my life there. Still on the fence wether to stay in Germany or move back to Japan. There are pros and cons as always and if you manage to land a good job at a good company you gonna have a nice life. But most companies aren't all that good: 7 paid off days if you are lucky, 50-80h work per week, unpaid overwork of course. Then mandatory Izakaya night with your coworkers and boss every week where you get drunk and come home late. Then you have extreme hot and humid temperatures in summer months (fine for me though).

On the other hand: beautiful nature, very kind and polite people, very clean, low crime rate, perfect infrastructure, everything just works, great services, best food on earth, never gets boring, good for raising kids, good health system.

You sound like you've never gone outside of your room in your mom's house. If your boss takes you to izakaya together, it would be based for foreigners.

There are 4x as many SEA monkeys like you visiting (not to mention the ones working illegally) than all of Europe put together albeit
