I have a chance to get out soon. I have been planning for a long time. I know a place where the fence is weak near the river and the guards are not always watching. I think I can make it across to China.

I am making this post because I am scared and I have no one to ask. I need to know what happens after. The Chinese police, what do they do if they find you? Do they always send you back? What is the best thing to do or say if they catch me?

I also need to know where to go. Do I just find the nearest South Korean embassy? Is that in Shenyang? How do I get there with no money and no way to speak Chinese?

Please, any advice from people who know about this. This is my only chance. I am ready to run but I am afraid of what comes next.

There are smugglers across the border in China, but usually you'll want to find someone and make arrangements first. Some smugglers are also human traffickers, so an escapee might get sent to Cambodia to run telephone scams instead. Others are working with South Koreans. Chinese police will turn any escapees back to North Korea.

Usually the path for NK escapees is going straight to Mongolia or go further South through China into a SEA country.

They won't be able to help you in China. SK embassies are guarded by Chinese police, you can't even enter there. You'd need to go to other country, like Mongolia or Thailand.
Many ethnic Korean Chinese citizens speak Korean near the border. You are better off asking them for help. But don't be naive, they can deceive you too.

Its over then, I suspect you can try to bribe them but you don't have the money. If you know any there are smugglers or humanitarian networks, but good luck finding them and its always a risk.
