No.214229534
> A NEET, an acronym for "Not in Education, Employment, or Training", is a person who is unemployed and not receiving an education or vocational training. The classification originated in the United Kingdom in the late 1990s, and its use has spread, in varying degrees, to other countries, including Japan, South Korea, China, Serbia, Canada, and the United States. The NEET category includes the unemployed (individuals without a job and seeking one), as well as individuals outside the labour force (without a job and not seeking one). It is usually age-bounded to exclude people in old-age retirement.

>bored and plans for the future
I'm not bored but I'm now old enough to know it can't last forever. Need to do something so the later 1/2 of life doesn't become truly a living hell. Resume is too trash for anything good so stock and crypto trading is my way out. If you're Japanese you've probably heard of BNF/Takeshi Kotegawa who was a phenomenal hikikomori stock trader who posted frequently on 2channel in the early 2000s. Later got featured on TV. He's what I'd like to become in the future.

Yes, I know him. I thought he became a billionaire through pure luck when he earned a great fortune through a megabank's erroneous stock order. But I just found that his total assets are ten times larger than the profit he earned through that incident. He is a talented and skilful stock trader.

I think this is true and agree, too much work and too little work are both bad.
Right now I work about 8 months of the year, and then I get 4 months off. It's about right, I get time to enjoy the part time-NEET life, play games and relax, but also I don't have to stress about money and it gives meaning having a job the rest of the year.
