idk, I asked you how you feel about that. I mean, do you learn about Portugal's history in let's say the year of 1200 in Brazilian schools and it is shown to you as "your history"? Do you feel like let's say the reconquista is part of the Brazilian history too?

We don't learn anything about the history of Portugal, either before 1500 or after. Only the history of Brazil. We also learn about pre-Columbian peoples. Basically, civilizations that existed before the arrival of the Iberians.
The only thing we learn about Portugal is stuff related to Brazil, so for example when the Portuguese court came to Brazil fleeing Napoleon, for example.

No. This has been happening since 1932, to be precise.
But our military friends were a big help in this, so when democracy was restored in 1988, any hatred of the right wing and globalist liberalism was welcome.

Peasantry works fields and raise animals. They don't build anything but the tools they use to work the land, and the ramshackle roof over their head.
Structures in cities were built by a conflux of skilled laborers. The whole thing was overseen by a master mason/engineer, who coordinated with journeymen that led teams of military and aspirants as the bottom level labor force.

Why the fuck would you use a shit-eating peasant to make a 3 story building? Are you retarded? Do you know how hard it is to work a stone and work it well? To place stones properly? Do you know how expensive the tooling is to do it efficiently? The maintenance required of those tools? The organization and efficient transport of raw material? You would entrust that to fucking peasants? Who the hell watches over the fields and the animals in the meantime? Your ancestors were certainly not kings, that's for sure. No civilization would last long under your discernment.

>i thought you have a sense of historical continuity with Portugal
We used to, but history just naturally drew us apart. Until the first republic, at least, we had some cultural interchange, and even though some intellectuals value Portugal's contribution to Brazil (Gilberto Freyre, Ariano Suassuna, etc.), we like to think of ourselves as an original, exquisite tropical civilization; but then again, what constitutes Brazilian identity is a constant and yet unfinished debate.

Maybe I need to touch some grass, but I'm fully prepared to be treated like a subhuman nigger simply because of the way I speak. I would not blame you though, brazilians are subhumans without a shred of common sense and the bad reputation is 100% deserved.

Only in classical literature. But only books by Brazilian authors are covered. Basically, the books you have to read are all Brazilian, and then they talk about Camões in literature when you learn about style and so on.
