Good god, I fucking love the Seoul Metro Transit system. One day, I wish to ride Line 8.

Is the map condensed or are the stops actually that close to eachother?
Anonymous United States No.214261129
>>214261087
Very condensed. For example, it's SUCH a long stretch between Yangju and Deokgye, a bit shorter to Deokjeong, but a long stretch to Jihaeng (if headed toward Soyosan). It's still fast though...but the real speed is on the KTX: I rode from Songtan to Itaewon in about 45 mins on the KTX, which took over 3 hours on the 'regular' train.

there are so many other versions still being used, I don't know which one is the official. from what I remember that blocky map was still being used in signs across stations and inside the trains. and here's this round edge but square version which I haven't seen often.

This is Korea, sir/ma'am. Foreigners are referred to as "weigukins." In any case, it's super-easy; just get on, and get off at your station. You may even have to change trains at certain stations; it can be fun.

You Americans enabled them by abandoning us economically after we were ruined by WW2 but then subsidizing South Korea with free money in the hundreds of billions of dollars to rebuild them after the Korean War.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippines%E2%80%93United_States_relations

>During the Cold War between the Capitalist United States and Communist Soviet Union, in Asia, despite being devastated by World War 2, defending US interests, and being a former colony, the Philippines, received negligible financial assistance from the United States with only $5 Billion US Dollars worth of aid in totality since Independence[18] compared to the copious amount of free development aid given to other Asian allies like: Israel ($317.9 Billion US Dollars in free aid),[19] South Korea ($119.9 Billion US dollars in free aid)[20][21] South Vietnam ($104 Billion Dollars in free aid),[19] Taiwan, ($41.81015 Billion US Dollars in free aid by year 1975[22] which convert to $242 Billion US Dollars in 2024 values as adjusted for inflation)[23] and Japan,[24][25] as the United States considered their economic development more important than that of the Philippines because they had hostile Pro-Soviet Union neighbors which the United States were opposed to.[26] Furthermore, America applied a deindustrialization policy and supported Free Market reforms in the Philippines, assigning it a role of only "supplying raw materials" while being open to foreign imports, because Japan was designated to be the main industrial export power in Asia,[25] thus retarding Industrialization efforts in the Philippines while the other nations that were protectionist and had Industrial Policy surged ahead in development.[27]:42,43[28]

The US supported the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos.[29]

Looks chaotic, but with map applications, it's easy to navigates. When traveling from one place to another, one or two routes are sufficient, so the other lines would be hidden.

The Philippine-American War was very sad really. Since the First Philippine Republic was patterned after the American and French Republics; our original flag even took the symbols of the Sun of May of Argentina and the flag of the American State of Texas.

Had we not been invaded and destroyed by America we would be the most Pro-American nation in Asia; since our literal constitution and national symbols were patterened after America and France. You would have an extremely Amero-phile ally in Asia.

Instead America has to fuck us up by Americans destroying a Republic built in admiration of America.

Were the Philippines the only asian country impacted by war destruction? You really think it was just money that Japan "needed" to get going again, as opposed to it being the remnants of a contender, who was just waking up, being Frankensteined to life? Look at Malaysia, as an example, they'd rather build multi-story mall complexes then get things like their water infrastructure clearly organised, and even little things like waiting for pedestrians to cross a road at a city pedestrian crossing is a fucking difficulty for them. The problem with South East Asia is that it's filled with South East Asians.
