So you conclude from this that the communists "were used" to expell the Shah & then they were discarded when they were no longer useful

And somehow this was all coordinated by a bigger superior force (who this might be, you don't mention)

Couldn't it be that communism and islamic movements are mutually exclusive (one seeks to abolish religion & property rights, while the other wants to expand religion & enforce property rights)
