My mom is Russian, from Surgut. We visited her parents and relatives when I was a teenager and I remember being kinda disappointed it looked so normal compared to hollywood movies where it always looked depressing and broken.

Why did they paint it dentist colors instead of vibrant jungle colors?

Best example is Anadyr, which is basically an American (geographical as in the Americas) city so naturally they do as our continent does from St Johns Canada to Valapariso Chile to Rio de jainero
