Midwest, especially Upper Midwest.
New England and the Deep South closely follow.

The Midwest is the most soulless, milquetoast nothingness you'll ever encounter in your life. If you think that yokels drinking booze and fishing is le sovl then be my guest.

We're not American. But if we were, it would be us.

I live in Arizona now and I can tell you there is nowhere on the planet other than maybe the Gulf States or urban China that is more soulless than the urban Southwestern U.S.
>yokels drinking booze and fishing
Anon, it's great if you are one of the yokels drinking booze and fishing, taking a girl to a makeout point on a lake (to get a little more than just a kiss), or walking around all the 19th century smalltown cores littered across the states and getting some steak or pork chops at the local restaurants before you go to get some top-tier ice cream and read a book in town or on the shore. There's nothing that beats it, at least in the U.S apart from maybe parts of the Deep South or Northeast.
I plan on moving back there within a couple years with a friend of mine to go to college, I'm looking forward to it more than anything.

This. nothing to do between Iowa and Ohio but river fish or explore abandon factories.

I like Boston, New York and rural Oregon

>Iowa and Ohio
I was talking about Upper Midwest in particular, but even those states have some parts of them. Iowa has some nice, gentle rolling hills, Illinois is fucking boring but the Southern Part of the state has a lot of soul, but I will say I can't say shit about Indiana/Ohio because I've never been.

Patrician taste. Boston is pretty much the last good major city in the U.S and it's not even close.
Oregon/Washington meanwhile is a very diverse area geographically with a lot of character.
