Hard to say, maybe we would've ended infanticide later and a few other developments.

On the other hand, if there had been no islamic scourging of North Africa and the Levant we'd possibly be 300-400 years more advanced scientifically (no dark ages).

I for one think Brazil wouldnt exist had the Portuguese not be catholic. I dont even think there would be sovereign states as we know of in South America. Just colonies then left behind; doubt the Portuguese and Spaniards would make an effort to spread their culture and architecture while being followers of an ethnic religion. They probably would think South America was just an weird, foreign, dark and evil place without much resources and leave it. If they knew there were resources, just try to pick them then come back. So i guess it would be just pristine jungles with naked amerindians around. Pretty soul though ngl
