they literally go to every army unit and select soldiers for this by height/weight. i dont think theyre the same height exactly theyre ordered by height when standing together so you dont see big differences between ones close to each other.
idf does the same shit in independence day events, i went and participated in some of the drills to get time off from other boring shit i would have been doing at the time.
