Sorry for not thanking you for an uncomfortable store that's dirty half the time with a weird setup. Safeway, Fry's, Albertson's, Publix, Giant, are all more comfy to shop in with similar prices.

Haha! No just an American. Pure red-blooded American. Perhaps it's time that we Americans start accepting more German enterprise, I do love the free market as Americans tend to do.

Good. They're actually cheap. I hate dollar general and the local chain store (price chopper/sun fresh) because they're fucking expensive
>>214485302
Except Walmart doesn't. Their cheapest stuff is the canned goods and other dry goods which are manufactured in bulk since they get insane deals on that stuff. Their supply chains for fresh stuff is worse and they never do sales so you're spending more for stuff like meat and produce. They just bank on retards saying "they have the lowest prices" which keeps people going there, so they feel like they're getting a good deal. There's a store by me in Phoenix called "WinCo Foods" and their whole gimmick is putting up the Walmart price next to whatever it is they're selling and it's always at least 10% cheaper. Walmart isn't ran by five kids with $50 billion each by giving people a good deal.

Aldi is a bit different than most large grocery stores here
You have to know what type of things to get there but itβs usually significantly cheaper and thereβs occasional more exotic things there

There is a few springing up where I am. Same with LIDL.
I hope they destroy Walmart produce and whatever other supermarkets and send millions of retarded trumpanzees to the streets to die in homelessness.
>>214488330
i wouldn't even know because i dont know what a lb is
anyway Aldi and Lidl are commonly known as thrash stores over here, mainly for tokkies and thirdies
>>214488712
Not him but I wouldn't know if that's cheap or not because I only buy premade or canned food and I've never bought a cut of meat and cooked it at home despite being 29yo
>>214488330 >everything in bags or a box >real food only gets the most basic selections and the fewest
I don't get what makes this special compared to any other chain market. also new stores always start off cheap and then raise prices once they've secured a consistent base.

Well for example, $2.29/lb for chicken breast is pretty good. Pretty low since it's usually $3/lb where I live. So $2.29/lb would be like β¬1.15/kg of chicken breast. I don't know if that's high or low for you guys.
>>214488780
i'm actually doing some researching and Walmart is fucking expensive compared to what we have here >canned diced tomatoes more than a dollar per 400g > cucumbers(normal ones like we have here) over a dollar each
seems like aldi is not much better, wtf i thought groceries here was expensive
>>214489092
It's about to get even worse. Economists say produce prices might double in the winter time since so many spics have been deported all at once.
>>214488169
So long as Loblaws has a chokehold on commercial grocery stores in this country no one else is setting shop here. Costco made it simply because they are too big to bully out.
>>214489245
Well a pound is .45 kilogram. The chicken breast is $2.29/lb which would be β¬1.96/lb. So yeah I fucked up, one kilogram is 2.2 pounds, so β¬4.31/kg. So yeah holy shit around a third the price. Do you live in a big city like Amsterdam or Rotterdam?
>>214489426
it seems like meat is just fucking expensive over here compared to there, but veggies are a little bit cheaper >Do you live in a big city like Amsterdam or Rotterdam?
Doesnt matter, we are a small country. Prices overal are the same because you can get to any place here(including belgium, germany, luxemburg and maybe even france) within 3 hours driving

They should probably spread out more. It makes little sense to have stores all over Southern California in little places and no stores in Northern California. I'll look into it when there's a store within 100 miles of my residence. https://stores.aldi.us/ca
