Just bought my first house a month ago so I have some DIY questions.

- What's the best way to hang up picture frames and artwork?
- My house is a ranch-style one with a single story. Is there a single best ladder to get? I need to be able to clean the gutters, so I was thinking a basic step ladder, but then in the future I might need access to the roof in general so maybe that's not best. I was looking at those telescoping ladders but saw a lot of worrying reviews for those where people said the locking mechanism failed while they were using the ladder and it made them fall.
- How far away from the house should the gutter downspout release the water?
Anonymous Australia No.214495028 >>214495453 >>214497224
>>214494879
Never cheap out on stuff that will injure you if it fails, get a decent multi purpose ladder from the hardware store that can lock into an A frame AND do pic related when you need to get onto the roof.

When I google that most of the results look like they fold on a hinge. :/ When I looked at reviews for those i saw the same thing as the telescoping one, where the locking mechanism fails sending the user crashing to the ground.

i have that makita 21V impact driver on the right in your pic and an old 9V black&decker drill. used the impact part of the impact this year when building a deck for my grandma it was satisfying af and saved me lots of time, used to do that stuff (screwing boards together) with a weak ass drill which took forever.
>>214493193
i got the left one
>>214492232
is it geared? seems very useful if you want to create screw threads in something. still a pain in the ass if you gotta drill 20 holes quickly.
