I don't think you understand the situation. Germany mostly gets two types of immigrants
>people who want to live on government gibs
This is most people in your country with foreign background outside the EU. 890k Syrians, 400k Afghans, 230k Iraqis, etc. etc. These people did not decide to go to Germoney because of the walkable cities or whatever but rather because they were promised and got gibs.
The other large groups are mostly Eastern Europeans and Balkaners: 1400k Turks, 770k Romanians, 720k Poles, etc.
Most of these people do blue collar stuff, things like waitressing, welding, truck driving, etc. These people do live nicer than they would in their home country, no doubt about that.
What Germany gets almost no and very little of is high skilled immigration.
>I'm a good computer programmer, can't wait to move to Germany!
said no one, ever.
The hierarchy for go-getters is something like USA > Switzerland > UK / Holland > Denmark and there is a large power gap with Germany. This applies not just to Eastern Europeans but to the rest of world. You could have fuck-ton of like educated Brazilians or Indians, etc. but even those people have zero reason to go to your country if they bothered to get qualifications and get accepted into a Western country. Anyone who has ever been to just Holland and Germany can immediately tell the difference as in Holland even the refugees are working somewhat meanwhile in Germany you can immediately see them loitering around train stations, it is a day and night difference and you are not going to gaslight me about this. Germany is the only country where Ukrainians are a net negative tax wise, in Poland, in Holland they are all in the positive. Only Eastern Europeans who could not make a good living at home move to Germany these days but you still live in the 90s
