It’s unironically the CIA. At this point I’m convinced “the CIA o algo” meme is a psyop planted on this board to discredit the fact that the CIA are directly involved in the destabilization of third world countries.

Because the primary job of the CIA is to protect US economic interests. It’s not for espionage or military purposes, it’s to assist US corporations and keep the American dollar strong. US companies exploit third world nations for their resources and cheap labor. If these nations were to stabilize, demand better working conditions, demand better pay, and worst of all attempt to take back ownership of their resources which international companies are pillaging, then those international companies would lose money.

This is exactly what the US government was doing back in the early 1900s within America as American workers were attempting to unionize. They worked directly with corporations to keep unionization illegal in the areas where it was illegal and sow discord amongst the unions which already did exist to ensure they accomplished nothing. Nowadays the majority of labor is bought overseas, so the CIA is used in those countries where the US government cannot get directly involved.

Serious question - how do people expect every country to become prosperous and developed when the world only has a limited ammount of wealth and resources?

It depends what your definition of a “wealthy and prosperous country” is. In almost all countries that people would consider wealthy, that wealth is condensed at the top 1%. In the US we have vast regions where the quality of education and infrastructure is literally third world tier, but at the same time we’re the wealthiest country on earth.

So to answer your question, while it’s possible for every country to become wealthy, it’s probably not possible for the citizens of every country to become wealthy individually. In order for capitalism to function there needs to be a lower class which can be exploited for labor and use their wages to purchase the goods generated by their labor.
