Gathering around and eating a roasted ox while getting drunk.
Or just getting drunk.

There's no folk culture left here, be it folk cuisine, music, or festivals.
France is a low-trust, heterogenuous society.

The biggest national holidays are of course Kingsday (the Kings birthday, where everyone wears orange, people go on boats, there are festivals and yard sales across the country).
And Sinterklaas, which is basically what santa claus is based on. With his black helpers. Who arrive weeks before on steamboat, which is aired daily on national tv as if it's news weeks in advance. And then kids get a small present for weeks until Sinterklaas his birthday, where they get the biggest presents. Or get punished by being put into a sack, beaten up with sticks and taken to Spain.

There are also lots of regional holidays. But that's harder to define because there are so many. Where I come from they had cheese markets and tent parties and what not. While in other areas they have things like carbid shooting. Or celebrations about the liberation of a city. And lots of historical reenactments. In the south they celebrate carnival with their marching bands. And so on.

Our culture is dead.
>Colonizer's culture
dead
>The culture that came once they settled and mixed with other colonizers or the natives?
Also dead
The only culture allowed to grow in this country is the one that was created on literal drug filled slums
