I used to be embarrassingly into fashion. I'm not gay, but if anyone heard me talk about fashion they'd probably assume I was. I would go to Vogue's website every fashion week to look at the new runway collections and save huge inspo folders of all the stuff I liked. I spent tons of money on designer clothes, most of the time just to admire the stuff in person before either returning it or selling it on Grailed.
Thankfully I outgrew that phase. I no longer follow trends or any designers, I sold almost all my old desiger stuff, and I started going to the gym instead. I've put on 40lbs since my anorexic fashion victim days and I look better than ever. I feel like I'm one of very few people who actually took this Rick Owens quote (pic related) to heart. I now spend less than I ever have on clothes. All I want is a well fitting pair of jeans and a nice mid-weight cotton t-shirt I can tuck into them. If it's chilly I can throw on a sweater or a jacket, and when it gets really cold I have a long wool coat I got in Japan.
