Germans genetically do not exist. The southern and western ones are basically French, the northern ones are Danish, the eastern ones are Czechs.

People in the Alps are rarely blond. Historically and genetically, they didn't come from Germany and Skandinavia, but migrated into Europe from Anatolia some 6000 years ago, staying always in the mountains.

I care a lot about the cultural regions of germany. I don't know enough about genetics but here's my observation. There are four main regions:
Northwest (lower saxony, hamburg, bremen, schleswig-holstein, westfalen) which is inhabitated by cold, blonde germanics/nordics with a culture that feels 'sterile' to southerners. They are similar to Scandis and some Dutch, but more introvert. They care about rules. Really competent, relaxed and cold people.
The east (former gdr including meckpom) is perhaps equally cold and it's hard to grasp for me as a westerner. I can't really make out their features but their economic and political situation is different from the rest of the Germans/Swiss/Austrians. They are in many ways more similar to slavs

the south (bayern, baden-württemberg, switzerland, austria) has stronger cultures. they are conservative, bourgeois, louder, arrogant and wealthy. their culture definitely isn't prestigious inside germany but very attractive to foreigners. There are blondes too but in general they look really different from northerners and easterners.
the west (rhineland, palatinate, saarland, luxemburg) has features of both south and north. I'd say they are the most extrovert. rules don't matter that much. the people are more naive, that's why their cities get drained and polluted the most. I wonder if the Flemish are similar
