No. When I was younger and super into metal I never attended one, since I assumed everyone was loud, drunk, and just overall obnoxious. I wished I could just attend a slayer or king diamond concert and just sit down with a drink, everyone would stay quiet and pay attention, and you can hold your cheering or clapping until the end of the song. In addition, people should be dressed properly in metal band shirts and such, no women in bikinis or guys in costumes, people that smell bad or look like they came out of a trailer park, etc.
Obviously this will never happen. I met my wife in uni and she was a music major, and that's how I got into contemporary classical music. People actually behave how I always imagined, even if the music isn't always as intense, it's something. I've never paid for tickets, my wife always gets free invitations. Craziest one, we got invited to a Jun Nagao concert in Illinois, I would assume those tickets are quite expensive otherwise. We usually attend four or five concerts a year.
