eurozoomers find their own native language cringe and avoid using it, they refuse to consume any media that's not in english, read only in english and even converse with their peers in english.
how do we solve the zoomer problem? it's already bad that english slang zoomer talk words have infested every language, but at this rate english will truly become the only language spoken on the continent within a mere generation or two

media produced here is trash made by out of touch boomers so at least our zoomers have an excuse not consuming it. as for not producing it themselves, not sure, but using slovene in music for example isn't seen hip or cool so anything but genres specifically targeting old folk is now made exclusively in english language now

If only. Getting rid of 95% of the European languages would solve at least 50% of the problems in this mid shitty impotent political block. Most European nations are still stuck in the "we don't want your kind over here because your language has odd grammar and ours doesn't therefore we are a real country". USA, China, Russia is at least 80% monolingual. In Europe you will be treated as shit because of the language barriers.

It was always like that here. In the past polish was a language for illiterate peasants while all educated polish nobility used latin. They only replaced old vatican christian nobility with new anglo globohomo nobility.

98% of eurozoomers don't speak English well enough or care enough about the international community to actively communicate in English. My own brother speaks English pretty well but has never used a full English sentence since he was in middle school 15 years ago, for example. Even though we massively consume anglo media or use English terms on a daily basis.

What you see online is so far remote from the truth, brothers and sisters.

True, I'm learning and perfecting my parents dialects. Done with this fake commie speech that was made to communicate with Bosnians and Serbs.

Number of things are at play here, but the types of Euro-zoomers to have conversations amongst themselves in English are usually cringey nerdy people with a lack of self-awareness...

However, as a native English speaker who has grown up in Europe and always has had a preference for American entertainment, I'd say there is just hardly anything for a somewhat nerdier zoomer to consume in these countries.

A lot of European countries produce great art (great movies, great literature, art etc..) but I can't think of a single country except the UK (which again is an English speaking country) that produces sort of accessible slop that the youth can enjoy.

If you're a Croat and you learn English as a kid, you basically have a whole universe of entertainment and hobbies you can partake in that would be closed off to you. Video games, youtube, tiktok, movies that aren't specifically aired on tv with subtitles, books that might not be translated, tv shows and not to mention the internet in general.

Most people here who can only speak Croatian or really struggle with English are usually people with zero interests or hobbies that do nothing besides going outside to have a coffee with friends or whatever.
