Were you filtered by the original Deus Ex in your country? I got to the end of the Ellis Island level but couldn't be bothered to finish the whole thing

Pretty much the same, the control scheme is really outdated and didn't want to waste a hole afternoon tweaking it to personal taste,i still want to beat the game someday tho

I bought the pirated disc for Rs 30 back in 2002 or 2003 because it had a cool cover. Took me like a year to beat it because it was too difficult.

Yes but also I don't really feel compelled to play games anymore, especially pirated ones if they're SP, right now I feel compelled to play one SP game at a time and it has to be bought on steam or legally "owned" in another storefront

Yes, it was clunky as fuck and I died almost instantly, had a real “what the fuck THIS is it?!?” moment
It’s on my “I’ll get around to it one day maybe” list

I didn't like Ellis Island but once I got inside the HQ office and started picking locks and stealing stuff I was hooked. Ellis Island is a pretty odd tutorial because it's not like the levels you will play later.
