Basically, a guy who lead one of the largest Hasidic sects (the Chabad) for a while but died 30 years ago. Instead of selecting a new leader they essentially started worshipping him.

why do you always post the shittiest videos that have NOTHING to do with "israeli culture" whatever you think that is tho? and it's even more embarrassing given you're like 40 or something. Now go ahead and pretend like you didn't just read this post even tho it's on topic lmao

Right so come to me now I learned the Hebrew alphabet years ago and know it roughly corresponds with the Arabic one, so I've transliterated it in IPa without the vowels and handed it off to a friend of mine who learned arabic in trinity, and he's saying these words mean:
Wisdom, Unity, Prayer
Also so it's the ħ kind, interesting. Whats the " after the bet do/mean/sound like?
Cheers

Interesting. I'll note he pronounces it χabad, which I imagine is the norm in Israel, but could I ask is there anyone or group of people in modern times that pronounces it as ħ? Like the H in Hamas? Also was the habad guy right with his predictions?

the letter ח
in both those words is pronounced the same as far as i know.
idk what ħ is but i think the hebrew
ח
and greek
χ
are literally the same letter that diverged over time in different regions

Afraid to inform you that thay's not the case, the Heth in phonecian actually evolved into the Greek Eta and Latin H as well as the Hebrew Heth, so not to do with χ, but yeah the average modern Israeli/Hebrew speaker uses χ as their pronounciation of ח, but the biblical hebrew pronounciation is the same as the arabic pronounciation of the H in Hamas or Hajj or Hijab, so I'm wondering if there are any hebrew speakers that pronounce the letter like it would be in either biblical hebrew or arabic. If im not mistaken yemeni jews pronounce it as such but ivent a clue where i heard that so dont quote me on it. anyway im off to work now as ive a weekend shift ill see yous chaps later in the day or something, see yas bye bye.

this once sentence from the mishna that is the basis of our culture surpasses all of brazilianism.
