What prevents you from learning Arabic?

Nothing, I already speak it.
I can think of many reasons that'd stop people from learning it though, it's very hard, people don't even really use the standard version of it and instead speak in dialects that are not even mutually intelligible in many cases, it's not particularly rich in cultural production outside of religion stuff.
Unless you're particularly motivated (usually for religious reasons), the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

you pretty much have to learn two languages: a dialect and MSA. also the fact they only write long vowels.

Replace ماذا الذي with ماذا simply or ما الذي

Don't listen to this dumbass dear language dabbler Anons. For one it's a worthless language and there's nothing valuable in it (inb4 muh poetry!!! It hasn't improved since the 7th century and we still only yap about muh cuntry muh tribe muh religion), and you'll spend 1000s of hours of your life to be able to communicate with the lowest rung of Araplari society (if they're educated they already know English /& French).

Second part is because it's a fucking nightmare to learn. Not only does the vocabulary have 0 relation to anything Indo-European, the grammar itself was probably ripped straight from the depths of hell itself. My grammar textbook when i was in highschool was 400 pages long, and that's not even all of it. Needless to say it took me months to finish that shit and it was extremely painful all throughout the process and I'm an Arap myself for fucks sake. I can't imagine how agonizing this would be for a language learner. And all of this to read the Quran or be able to yap about "Muh ummah!!1!1!1!!!" with uneducated retards who are the product of incest and probably fucked their cousin at 12? Das crazy bro

Arabic is completely useless to me because I'm not particularly interested in anything in it or related to it, the only reason to learn it is because more knowledge = good, which is more than enough reason to, but there's about a billion other things that I want to learn so Arabic is at the very bottom of the priority order
Maybe if I become immortal I'll learn it or something.
