Terrible pollution, salaries low despite the rising prices, rent swallows up like 80% up your salaries so young people are crowded with their relatives in one apartment, half of the city lives in shantytown like private homes. Horrible traffic, constant misery and anger resulting from poverty and unlivable wages.
Corrupt failed government, full of thieves top to bottom, unable to do anything, or fix anything, retarded population fooled by welfare and lying kept in an illusion of control with democracy, some young idiots think corruption is the issue when in reality its democracy itself, if some thief gets arrested there are 10 more that steal using the democratic system.

Russia/china are building a new gas pipe through mongolia, and the russians said they must protect the gas pipe with their troops, meaning they must have more control over mongolia, our fate is to be some irrelevant poor satellite if we keep being in a weak easily manipulatable democratic system.

Very grim. How does political corruption work in Mongolia? Do you guys have like a clan system where politicians just shill out for their own clan and nobody else?

The countryside may look good, but its hard living there, pretty much no economic opportunities so you have to move to the crowded capital, horrible infastructure, cellular coverage, power, internet, plumbing/sewage connection, and heating connections, the lack of infastructure and systems organizing the basic needs of people like indoor toilets and heating are non-existant. It fucking sucks being in a corrupt democratic oligarchy, the elites get to enjoy the finest things in life while the common person lives in dirt poverty and misery, ive even heard that the sanitation levels in shantytowns and rural settlements are on the levels of afghanistan

Yes, in a democratic system, the majority must approve for anything to get done. So the population votes for dumbass social media influencers and celebrities(no abilities/education), and a party full of corrupt lying thieves promising welfare. If there is a promising young man trying to fight all the corruption and trying to make decisions, simply the wolf packs of corrupt idiots wont approve so none of his actions get approved. And yeah you summarized it well. The last prime minister was caught due to his child buying a bunch of expensive stuff and he ran away.
If one person gets caught stealing, then there is a horribly long bureacratic persecution process in the court, you know how legal battles go, for years it keeps dragging on and on plus with corruption some jury or anyone that can influence the legal decision gets bribed to be in favor of the thief, so there are too many thieves and the ones that get caught dont get punished. We need dictator style anti corruption, no long legal battles just arrest em all. There were some protests about politicians stealing money from coal mines, but no one was admitted responsible, in a democratic system consisting of too many people, everything is invisible and in shadows so the population doesnt know who to blame

Is there no city planning authority or at least infrastructure office to deal with these things? I know from what you are saying that politicians don't give a fuck but surely they at least virtue signal that they want to try.

>And yeah you summarized it well. The last prime minister was caught due to his child buying a bunch of expensive stuff and he ran away.
I've noticed that in a lot of Middle Eastern and African countries that only members of the ruling clan really get anything good out of it, Like Assad in Syria, Gaddafi and even basically all of Central Asia. It's all about treating the state like a piggy bank and seeing how much you can kick it for money until you get caught, or overthrown. But really the only way these people get outed is because they get deposed from the outside or they just shuffle out of the way for another member of their clan to take power while the heat dies down and nothing changes.

Yes we're not on india levels of slums but what can they do if there is no power to fully heat and supply electricity fully to all homes? They cant do much if the central pipes of heating and sewage cant reach homes, or there are no pipes then the offices can do nothing about it. The problems must be solved by the highest powers in the government, and if the highest powers are useless thieves we will keep living in this misery and pollution. In other corrupt countries, atleast problems of power, infastructure and sewage pipes arent the main problems because places in europe had hundreds of years to develop sewage pipes and a good central waste management system, but here its more of a frontier that just recently got civilized. Mongolia had no systems, infastructure before socialism, it was complete countryside. We only rely on old dated socialist buildings to keep us going, all of the powerplants, institutions, ministries and waste management come from the socialist era of rapid building and modernization, our new government is useless and they cant build anything. Plus we constantly hear about how theres not enough budget from the government or how the budget gets stolen to build some useless project for money laundering. Or even if its useless some people would want a cut of the budget, if theres a road that needs to be built for 100m then the officials make the price of the road 150m, adding 50 million to their own pockets.

Anonymous Mongolia No.214621028 >>214621128 >>214621470

For the countryside, the government needs to build powerplants, thermal stations, roads and waste management. The countryside heavily lacks these things, and some provines straight up buy power from russia. The officials and people in power in the countryside can do nothing about it if the main government is not building big powerplants. Everything requires water and electricity to begin with, and only the highest power can build such things.
For your second paragraph, you're right but the difference is, in mongolia the people are under an illusion of democracy. Atleast central asian/ middle eastern people know that they live under corrupt clans but here in mongolia the thieves know how to keep up the illusion of democracy so people protesting only ask to arrest/punish a select few people that get blamed for any corruption incidents instead of wanting a systemic change like how middle easterners or africans do. We're more fucked in that way, the population is kept docile through welfare and illusion of democracy, and if anyone speaks out about how the democratic system is fucked entirely, like NPCs they label you an extremist, and how democracy is a must and a human right or whatever despite all of our problems resulting from democracy, this docile npc population wont ever want systemic change from my experience.

Yeah living in the countryside of Mongolia makes people hard. When its extremely hot or cold, having to use outdoor toilets at extreme weather and darkness, limited internet and power. Tough conditions create tough people.
But i would imagine kazakhstan has similar countryside conditions to mongolia but i guess kazakhstan is more developed. Also kazakhs here hunt with eagles and live in mountians, i guess in kazakhstan its a lot more urbanized and russified. An ethinic minority isolated from the mother country keeps their traditions/culture much more alive and unchanging than the rapidly changing mother country

How does welfare work in Mongolia? Doesn't really strike me as a country which has an excess to afford a widespread welfare program, or at least that I know of. Mongolia isn't known for any natural resources that I know of.

Politicians promise increases to retirement pensions, more money to people living in shantytowns/ger horoolol and generally promising free food and handouts to people in poverty which makes up a large voting percentage in most areas of Mongolia. You can use chatgpt or google translate to translate picrel. So its a simple concept, promising free stuff and increases in welfare/retirement to people for votes
>Mongolia isn't known for any natural resources that I know of.
We're known for our vast resources though. We have a ton of natural resources, never ending natural resources like a bunch of oil, coal, natural gases and uranium. Gold, copper and all sorts of metals. We have too much natural resources, it gets stolen, used in some useless money laundering project, if its a real project then people take chunks of the budget by increasing the price of the project and the rest gets used in welfare.
If you want to know why those natural resources arent making us wealthy, we dont have the tech, power, water and infastructure for such stuff, even if we build it, its gonna be such a horrible project full of thieves cutting costs to steal money. Picrel is for my plan of finally trying to mine the natural resources that we have.

One of our most famous mines that every mongolian knows and talks about is oyu tolgoi, a large mine operated by australian rio tinto. Everyone wants to work there because there is no ineffiiciences, corruption, nepotism of the mongolian government there, when a foreign company operates in mongolia, the people noticably love it for not having the corruption of the government be involved in it.

Bulgarians and Serbs are modeled as 60% Ukrainians + 40% local southern European substrate similar to Greeks and Albanians, so it is incorrect to say that they are Slavs only linguistically.
