my IT job requires me to go in person twice a week.

Corporation can literally pay their employee less than they should be and employee can actually do something productive in their house other than sitting in front of their computer for 8 hours, working for 3 hours and spent the rest of 5 hours doing nothing if they fully implementing remote working to some of their sector in office, even better, this shit can actually reduce daily traffic and daily expense for people. Finland I think has one of the highest amount of remote jobs and I think like 90% of them are hybrid where you are 2-3 days in office with office hours being rather flexible

Remote work is better only if there is a long commute desu. If your company is worth shit working at the office ensures better equipment, easier cooperation with other teams and your teams, and more enforceable hours.

We got forced back into the office five days a week except they had downsized the space so that people were working elbow to elbow at first-come first-serve desks. Prior to COVID we had two WFH days and dedicated desks in a semi-open office.

I asked management if they planned to change any of this now that we were back and got bluntly told no. Rumor was they were hoping people would voluntarily quit. I went in but did no or bad work every day for eight months until I finally got fired last month.

I had quite possibly the coziest remote "job" for a year and change. I got paid $1000/month for working 4-5 hours a week. No fixed hours, no clocking in, no slack messages. And the $1000 was all spending money since I lived with my parents so it went really far. I travelled extensively within India and to some SEA countries. Sadly I got laid off and have been unemployed for several months now.

I've worked almost all trades you can think of aside from electrics through family and also random shit outside it like trucking, designing furniture, printshop maintenance
My main "job" is UI/UX and I've hated every single second of it, not only because every person working in design is a raging fuckin aids-ridden FAGGOT but also because of the reasons insinuated in last posts, if you don't move you're essentialy forbiding yourself as a legitimate, living, breathing human being, how could I voluntarily do that? Only interface with the world through a screen, it's degrading and it's no surprise the people working in this "sector" are some of the lowest of the lows progressive faggot type bugmen
By this point I seriously wish all the talk about AGI is real and it does actually enslave us or lead to some rampancy and forces us to go back to collecting berries cause holy shit the modern man's existence is such a meaningless, degrading pile of fuckin obscenities
The fact some people make being LE DIGITAL NOMAD their proud personality just proves to me without a shadow of a doubt that eugenics is rightful and someone with an outlook on life comparable to that shouldnt be allowed any possibility back into the genepool
