It was a complete fucking shithole my grandpa used to run a shop on the border and they would come over and buy stuff with vodka bottles and other goods it was basically a medieval barter system because the ruble was completely fucking worthless

Biggest question of my life. Would i be a clueless soviet normie without having access to internet, or i would be the same person as i'm now and would just use other sources of information from the evil western capitalists. Keep in mind i started to despise soviet/russian led world and being "liberashka" when Ukraine was still a pro-russian satelitte state.
