can we stop all the squabbling and just build a centrifuge in space? it's cool physics and it would make space tolerable
>inb4 ludditetroon says it won't work
stfu

It won’t work. And this thread is to summon Israeli anons, isn’t it?
Jews love talking about space colonies for some reason.

>niggas spinning 3000 revolutions per minute in space
next christopher nolan movie idea?

it'll work just fine but the real question you should be asking is: is it even necessary?

humans don't actually need gravity to survive. they've been living in microgravity environments on the ISS just fine, with people staying up there for like a year without ANY issues

centrifuge for what? do you mean like a skyhook or just a spin-station?

i wish we were as rich as usa and had our own spacex. only the department of defense has the money to launch to orbit here.

Probably spin stations or O'Niell cylinders. The tech is feasible for an ISS sized space station. Thing is, you have to make it windowless or the astronauts will be puking every minute.

nah theyll get used to the spin
we're very far off from building whole oniells. i think you could do it now with 2 dragons or 2 soyuz but for a useful spin-station you'd need something like 2 starships for the initial test and further down the line have like a 'docking module' that sits on the tether between the two starships so a non-spinning spacecraft can dock with it and enter an elevator that can go to either starship.
