I've been lurking /int/ on and off for 5 years now and I wonder if it's always been this riddled with bots. Certain countries (China and Russia in particular) trigger spambots that'll just post the same 50 webms and pics. Was it like that before the pandemic?

No. It started shifting somewhere in 2023 where the change was noticeable. Got especially bad and obnoxious after sharty btfo 4nigs with the hack and doxx. I am afraid it won't recover and is terminal. Finally we can all leave this place for all eternity.

The Norwegian general has had problems with spammers for the past 8 years, I wouldn't be surprised if they were always bots. I assume it's the same for the rest of the board. People only talk about bots the past few years because of AI, but remember that Dead Internet Theory has been a thing sine 2016.
