If it's from a company. They're obligated to state any faults with the vehicle. Most cases gets thrown out and you lose if you're the buyer of a 16 year old car anyways but you can always threaten to make it into a case if they don't repair it. Most salesmen don't want the hassle and just repair it for you if it's a minor repair like a new starter engine for 100€
