Tbh Japanese culture with precedents is fucking retarded. If one time something bad happens and one thing is indirectly involved, that basically innocent thing has to go.
Someone hid bombs or shit in a trash can once? No more trash cans.
This happened at my job recently. In the hotel where I work we have a stand for the umbrellas near entrance which we put there on rainy days. One day it was raining so I decided to put it out and my boss stopped me and said no, we don't do that anymore. I asked why and he said that basically recently one guest put their own umbrella in the stand (the stand is for the umbrellas provided by the hotel), and some other guest took his umbrella. So because of one little accident, no one gets umbrellas! Fucking insane if you ask me
