There are a lot of Israeli tourists that go to India, especially to the northern tourist cities like Rishikesh. I met many Israelis there. After they serve in the military it's actually a common thing for Israelis to go skiing in Manali and Kasol, places like that.

And they are treated well of course.

There are a LOT of them, and there are more of them coming - both online and IRL. A decade or so ago Indian hate wasn't what it is today because the Indians in western countries were generally the ones who knew India was a dump, wanted to get out, and had the means to do so (wealth and/or smarts). There was absolutely (warranted) grumbling in tech forums like /g/, and "designated shitting streets" was funny to laugh at, but it wasn't serious, just the usual "my country is better than yours."

Then in the last 5 years especially, every single first world country decided they were going to import Indians en masse. And at the same time, internet availability in India skyrocketed. The Indians you see flooding your streets and the Indians flooding your favorite website aren't the small minority of people who were smart enough to get out of India or privileged enough to have internet access, you're now working alongside an actual retard with a fake degree for the sole purpose of getting a visa, and when you go online to complain about him, Indians from every rural village in the middle of bumfuck nowhere in their country see this and respond with "BHARAT #1."

People point to Apu being removed from the Simpsons as the cause of the death of the "hardworking Indian" stereotype, but that's way too specific. The real cause is that the Indians coming over 15+ years ago and the Indians coming over now are two different groups of people. Even with massive brain drain India still has a core of very capable people in the millions. Intelligent and driven people. People actually committed to fixing indias issues. Maybe someday the very simple problems of cleaning up rubble in the street will be tackled.

I disagree, it's due to wanting to fit in but being unable to fit in, and more often than not starts at high school. They more eagerly latch onto this because it becomes a bludgeon to make white people open up more.
