I feel like my heart is going to shut down but I don't have any health insurance so I can't find out what's wrong with me

And even if I had health insurance they wouldn't just test my heart just because. it would cost like $300 or more

Are you fat and/or old? If you're relatively active and young, you probably just drink too much coffee and you're freaking out. Becoming overly aware of your heartbeat and not being able to stop paying attention to it, causing it to beat harder and faster has happened to me.

You didn't answer either of my questions buddy. Anyway, something that calms me down sometimes is I put my finger on my neck (look it up if you want the location) to feel my heartbeat and I verify that it's beating at regular intervals. Spoiler: it always fucking is, even when I'm freaking out. One thing you should also know is that if you call 911 or go to the ER, more than likely you'll have some EMTs just check your pulse with an EKG and look for an irregular heartbeat since that's the most objective way to tell if you're about to have a cardiac event. If you don't show anything abnormal, then you're going to wait at the ER for 6 hours behind every illegal with a cold.

I got an EKG done last year and the hospital paid it out of some "charity fund". You have to apply for these funds when you are out of the hospital. They just want proof that you are broke and cant afford paying your hospital bill.
