How do I escape from Russia?
I want to move out of Russia, but I have no idea how to do it. The most realistic path is through work visas imo as I'm a tech worker, but why would anyone want to hire me specifically and go through additional bureaucracy of hiring a foreigner when they can hire a local? Any tips on which relatively decent country would unironically hire me to work as a software engineer perhaps, give me a work visa and give me a clear path to permanent residence after years of living on a work visa? Any tips on types of companies that are most likely to hire me? Or any other tips in general, perhaps you have a better immigration path idea?

What kind of tech stack do you have? What kind of tech stack do you specialize in? Your question is too big to get a proper advice or similar stuff.

I'm just a full-stack code monkey that is trying to learn DevOps at the moment
>tech stack that I specialize in
I don't particularly specialize in any specific stack, why? If that's what is required, I can do that I guess.

Is it even practically possible to get a job in the US and get an H-1B without being on Optional Practical Training after doing masters in the US first? The H-1B system seems too inflexible and is (or at least was) lottery-based.

Wonder if reaching out to recruiters might work, if you don't want to contact companies directly. Like, "I'm looking for work abroad, and some guy told me it might be a good idea to try to talk to you". Think it could work. Shows initiative. Or you might get useful tips at least. IT companies often have people from all over in general.

Recruiters usually only care about getting paid from getting people hired, but it's not necessarily bad.

The hard part for russians is to get into a western country, other than that all doors are open into Asia, Africa and even south America if I remember correctly
