how much i spent shouldnt be a bearing on anything because i wasnt really caring too much and i am quite wasteful, but something around £20k for 11 months. i am sure you can comfortably live for £1k/month if you wanted to be cheap. i got some cheap hotels for like £500-600/month even in seoul and im sure you can manage half that in SEA. i planned to spend more time in SEA because cheaper but my tolerance for shitholes wore out very fast kek. i really miss being able to go for a walk in different interesting places every day living in a city, taking the metro for like 50p to somewhere new every day for months, eating out for <£10 every day, and ofc being completely safe. now im stuck in some shitty town in the middle of nowhere and it costs me £40 just for the train to london for a daytrip and the bibimbap here isnt even spicy

i wanted to spend more time in china but i only went once to the mainland for 9 days and hong kong for a week. i was waiting for and hoping the visa restrictions would ease for british but it seems we are singled out for poltiicial reasons to not get what almost all of europe got. so i just went to beijing and shanghai

i will go back to asia next year and definitely include at least another 9/10 day stint in china, but i am not sure how long i will be able to for the whole trip, too early for me to plan things i need to work a load over the winter now. i should be able to do at least 2 or 3 months
