I just found out non-Turks in my country get triggered when you say "Türk" and they want you to say "Türkiyeli" instead (it means Turkeyean or "from Turkey" or something like that)

Türk is an Austrian last name, it was applied to the descendants of the turks who settled in Austria after the ottoman invasions, there are legit türks here who have lived here for centuries and look like white people, totally different from the recent turks who came in the 20th century and look like arabs

Because they are levantines they were called los turcos in latin america because they immigrated from ottoman empire back then and people have no idea about turks they thought they were turks
>>215036817 >basically kurds under a turkish name
how come they are the biggest turkish flag waving erdogan loving grey wolf signalling nationalists then?

You must be new here, same reason why HAPAs become white nationalists. Biggest nationalists in Turkey are always crypto armenians, crypto kurds, crypto laz/trabzonites and the brownest of the brown.
modern nationalism is a plebian ideology, it's for weak minded failures to project their own inferiority complex onto others.

I have never thought I would ever agree with a Swede but here we go

Not true, that's more of a modern thing and even then it's not uncommon to see more modern Turks fleeing as soon some kurdish tribes moves in as their neighbour, Istanbul is much more segregated than one thinks
i know Slovaks have a different word for the pre-WW1 Hungary and modern Hungary, so that they can larp and cope as not actually being part of Hungary for 1000 years
