Historically communist countries are pretty good at the whole education thing. Indian schools are a joke and won't qualify their graduates for real jobs. And then there's the fact that India never properly industrialized like China did in the 80s and South Korea in the 60s, imagine a medieval farming country that just happens to have a tech support industry.

Because of remittances. It is free money for their clans/extended family back home. Every indian sent abroad is more money for their parents. Only thing that matters. Doesn't matter if the parents are also retarded or waste all the money on an ugly house, more cows or cow shit rituals. My neighbors did the cow pee festival in our apartment parking lot, made the entire place smell like a toilet and the part of the festival where they fuck each other got the cops called for public intoxication and public exposure. This is when the landlord realized that all the indians he was renting to was subleasing them 10 to a room, and is when he required credit checks for all tenants not just the lessee. And even then, indians tried to get around it by using children and teens who also worked. This was also when I realized indians would just pay someone to click through online classes for them so they could get a 4.0 gpa and claim to be good enough for student visas. This is also how they all qualified for free college.

And, slowly, I learned to hate them.
