its also completely ridiculous that the US seems to be the only country blamed when we were a relatively small player in the grand scheme of things, at its peak agriculture in slave owning states accounted for about 10% of the countries overall economic output and even then depending on what source you follow overall only 15-25% of farms were ran by slave owners (with some areas like Mississippi being higher)
