When I was in University at Mexico City, I saw a Jew wearing a hat and those funny sideburns, he was very similar to Le Happy Merchant meme but a bit more handsome (his eyes were gorgeous).

I also visited San Pedro in Nuevo Leon and met a family that has Jewish and Lebanese roots, they are rich, very cultured and very friendly (unless you are an uncultured swine) but they are have very chuddy takes on public topics.

I would like to, but I haven't had the opportunity yet.

I am also interested in converting to Judaism but they don't do conversions here. So far I'm studying on my own until I can travel abroad to continue my learning and convert there.

I remember meeting one at kindergarten because he would bring his jewish food like those matzo crackers and other stuff I forgot, I didn't know what was a jew at the time but I figured out he was a jew eventually. They have their own jewish school here, which combined with their low population, makes it unlikely that you'll meet one if you go to a catholic one (either "secular" or run by clergy), but I've met at least one jew who went to a catholic school run by clergy so it's not like they all go to that one school. Needless to say, his jewishness was the butt of all jokes by the guys who were familiar with him. One of my friends is also into jewishness, so to speak, despite having no relation with them whatsoever, particularly into the more esoteric practices like Kabbalah, but he's not looking to convert afaik.

Most people know jews only from the Old Testament stories, and despite having had the Spanish inquisition during colonial times, there's no real culture of antisemitism like that of Europe or USA. Whenever you see it, it's usually commies parroting the Palestinian narrative despite not being able to point it on a map and to a much lesser extent chuds who browse /pol/ overcompensating for not being white. I'd say the (stereo)typical peruANO admires Israel and kinda wants to be it because of the Bible, to the point there's a local religious cult that larps as ancient israelites, I'd say there's more of them than actual jews here (they even have a political party which got half a million votes last time), certainly you are more likely to notice them when you see one than an actual jew.
