1. In order to move you need a job offer and university education. Which is mostly refused for most of the people nowadays. One of my friends works in some western IT company and he said that their company stopped hiring Russians after 2022.
2. EU seems like almost the same shit is here with more stupid bureaucratic laws. And even more migrants.
3. In order to move, earn much and all. You really need to compete and rip your ass off. And still you won't earn much to live good over there, unless you move back to Russia with gathered money.

Thrvke, the Soviet Union (and Iron curtain) could afford to put literal barbed wires and shoot anyone crossing the border because people forgot what it was like to be able to go where they want. Gorbachev gave Russians freedom and the current government has to convince the people that the west is actually hell and they shouldn't want to leave Russia.

What for? If I go to Western Europe, I'll be surrounded by violent brownies, if I go to Eastern Europe, I'll be surrounded by goblins like this. In both cases it would be a downgrade and cause a serious depression. Besides, if I live in the EU cesspit, my taxes will go to the Urinian Pidorreich, and I don't want it.
