Your people had to overdevelop agricultural production because they couldn't reach a significant rank when it comes to innovation or production of anything that actually is expensive or complex. Selling cheap meat en masse to the entire world isn't some gotcha moment or something to be proud of, it's a sign that you didn't have what it takes to produce good cars, good planes, good drones, good electronics, anything worthwhile that doesn't sell for peanuts.
