How do Germans with surnames like Himmler and Göring and Hess and Eichmann and so on live.
Don't they feel embarrassed.

Common names like Göring and Hess aren't going to be associated with Nazis, just like the name Mosley is not immediately associated with Oswald Mosley in English (I assume)
Rare names like Göbbels or Himmler probably die out since people can choose their last name upon marriage and they'd just pick the less controversial one.

do you ever encounter any people named Adolf or has the name died out

I've never or heard of someone called Adolf, they probably have to be born before 1945 if they exist.
The name registry probably wouldn't even allow you to name your child like that due to likelihood of bullying

Jerker used to be an everyday name here. Suspect it's gotten less popular due to English.
