Running is good for you, you fucking dumbasses. We exist at the only point in human history where being sedentary for the majority of the day is the norm. The human body isn’t intended to exist like this, you need some sort of aerobic exertion to stay healthy. It doesn’t even have to be running, you can just take long walks, but you need to do something or else the years of sitting are going to cause mobility issues as you get older.
My friend works in physical therapy and he’s always telling me how his patients are experiencing pain that’s associated with old age at younger and younger ages, and it’s all because they’re so sedentary.

I’m jealous of this guy because we have literally the exact same life down to the same age, only I have no time to swim/go for runs/go to the gym because 2.5 hours of my days are spent sitting in rush hour traffic and my office is in the middle of a soulless commercial development surrounding by parking lots and eternally congested 65 MPH highways.
The nearest gym is a 30 minute drive from my apartment in the opposite direction from my office, which would add another hour of commuting to my day if I chose to go there. It doesn’t have a pool either, and the nearest YMCA is on the opposite side of the city 20 minutes from my office. The only thing that prevents me from having enjoyable extracurricular activities outside of my wage slave job is the fact that I live in America, the biggest shithole on earth.

Anywhere within 1 hour of the city center is going to be unaffordable to a young man living on a single income without rich parents bankrolling his lifestyle.
