1. It's día de la Hispanidad not Columbus day nonsense pushed by Americans because they seethe at anything Spanish just like their Jew masters
2. Him being Italian is just one of many theories and I personally think the Galician theory is the one that makes the most sense considering he asked Portugal first to finance his trip`and NEVER wrote anything in any Italian dialect
3. Italy proper didn't exist and half of the Italian peninsula was literally owned by Spain back then so them celebrating this is ridiculous, double ridiculous considering they're not even real Italians

Colon was literally jailed by the Spanish kings, whatever atrocity he did was on his own will as an individual and doesn't represent Spain's will
Otherwise we can talk about Vietnam or Korea atrocities done by plenty of American soldiers, but that's not something you guys wanna talk about right

Why would Colons ass be celebrated when the Spanish literally sent his ass in chains back to Europe

Columbus was sent back to Spain in chains after his 3rd voyage for defending the Native Americans of Hispaniola against the Spanish settlers. He had executed 3 Spanish settlers and the Spanish governor took great offense to an Italian exercising capital punishment. After he was sent back to Spain all charges against him were dropped and he was allowed to do his 4th voyage.
