Good news is that I tried these versa gripp knockoffs and they are goated I gotta admit. Placing them on bars is a bit hard as of now as I think the material needs to break in a bit as currently it just simply does not want to bend and is as erect as my cock in the morning, but it should be fine soon I think.
Bad news is, sadly the best personal trainer aka myguy2 whom I always joked around and talked with, has left the gym. No idea if it was him who left because he found a better paying position somewhere else or if he got fired. He will come to the gym once in a while to lift doe so I might still be able to talk with him if he comes in the morning rather than the afternoon.
