That fucking sucks but it's expected. There are plenty of people with university degrees and not a lot of people willing to do labour work. In combination with cutting down on immigration but still having enough people to do labour work the obvious solution is to keep the asylum seekers and make it way harder for legal immigrants to come because no matter what happens asylum seekers will just keep coming anyways. So it's better to limit at least one group of immigrants if you can't limit all of them. It sucks because I wanted to move to London for years now but it sounds lke not even a masters degree is going to cut it on the job market when they already have plenty of Brits who can work in IT and not even they can find jobs right now

Finally, a sane person in the entire thread. For brits, degrees mean nothing. We're speaking about a country where its residents refer gas leakage technicians as "engineer". I also saw many "engineers" that doesn't even have a bachelors degree, but had connections with industry through their daddies.

Having a masters degree here in the UK is also a huge negative to your CV btw, as british employers likely to perceive you as "overqualified".

Who you know and years of experience matters more in here apparently, like any other turd world shithole country
