Personally ive done a lot of experimentation with drink and drugs and I can confidently say pregabalin is a wonder drug, very few side effects. However pregabalin creates a massive tolerance really quick. It wouldn't be suitable for daily use. Not that alcohol is either.
I do the rotation model of drug use. Change up the drugs on a daily basis, no more than 3 days of any type of drugs on the trot. Unfortunately i've not yet mastered it. I'm functional as a drug addict but keep falling into the opium trap. I love the poppy derivatives too much. They are definitely less harmful than alcohol though. And withdrawals aren't too bad especially with massive doses of pregabalin and small doses of benzos. Whereas alcohol withdrawals are worse than heroin.

I've done heroin withdrawals a couple of times and its not nice. But it's not deadly either. I've done opiate withdrawals about 10 times. Done right it only takes about 5 days of discomforted aided by the right drugs and its not bad. Not as bad as a genuine flu or food poisoning.
